NHS representatives to visit local meeting in Craven Arms

The Craven Arms and Rural Local Joint Committee (LJC) has an interesting meeting planned for Wednesday 25 February 2015 at 7pm at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre.

The main item for discussion will be the NHS Future Fit proposals for healthcare provision in the county.  Representatives from the NHS will be in attendance to give a presentation and answer any questions.

In addition, there will be an explanation of the plans for Shropshire Council to ‘commission’ youth activities instead of run them themselves, and what that will mean to the Craven Arms area, working alongside the LJC and key local groups.

Councillor David Evans, chairman of the LJC, said:

“Healthcare is important to us all, and we need to be aware of the proposals for the future provision of services in the county and contribute to the public discussions around this.”

The meeting will also include an update from the Craven Arms local Safer Neighbourhood Team regarding local crime and safety, and news and events from the parishes that form the LJC.

The police will be available from 6.30pm if you wish to discuss any issues on a one-to-one basis.

Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting and to take part in the discussions.
