Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery is staging some exciting activities for children during the October half-term holiday.

The BIG DRAW – Charley Darwin’s Shrewsbury
Wednesday 29 October – 11am to 3pm

The Big Draw is a chance to meet Shelagh and Hazel McNab, author and illustrator of the new Ellingham Press book ‘Charley Darwin’s Shrewsbury’ – and create your own artwork celebrating the environment.

Artist Maggie Allmark will be using some of the wonderful beasts, bugs and butterflies from the museums’ collections as inspiration for this Darwin-themed workshop.

The standard Museum entry free applies, but there is no extra cost for this activity.

Halloween Spooky Supper
Friday 31 October – 4pm to 6pm

Children can enjoy a sandwich supper at stop. café, a ghostly story, Halloween museum trail and creepy crafts!

The cost is £8.00 per child, and up to two accompanying adults can attend free of charge.
