Following on from the success of last year’s first Annual General Meeting, Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing are once again inviting all tenants to come along and get involved.

This year’s meeting will be held on Thursday 16 October in Shrewsbury at 10.30am. Any tenants wishing to attend should call or email involvement@starhousing.org.uk. Booking is essential.

The meeting will provide tenants with the chance to hear what has been achieved in Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing’s first year, meet staff and board members and hear about the plans for the future. There will be a special guest speaker from the National Federation of ALMOs to discuss the future of ALMOs (Arm’s Length Management Organisations).

Sue Adams, Managing Director for Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing is keen to see as many tenants come along to the meeting as possible. Sue said;

“Several tenants attended last year’s AGM, but we’d like to see even more attend this year. We are committed to working with our tenants to improve their neighbourhoods, homes and experiences of being a Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing tenant. We hope to see many of you there.”

Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing Ltd took responsibility for the management of all 4,200 Shropshire Council owned homes in the Oswestry and Bridgnorth areas in April 2013. The organisation manages homes and neighbourhoods, collects rent, orders repairs and makes improvements to all housing
