A family-owned design company based in Craven Arms is looking forward to further expansion, after a grant from the Shropshire Business Enterprise Fund enabled them to purchase new machinery.

Craven Design and Print was established in 1993, and provides a design and print service to customers across the UK.

James Sherratt, director of the company, said:

“The Business Enterprise Fund grant has enabled me to purchase a new machine, which has made our operating processes swifter and more efficient.  The investment is helping the business to take on larger contracts and expand into new markets, and we are delighted with the support we have received.”

Steve Charmley, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for business growth, said:

“It was great to be able to visit Craven Design and Print recently to find out more about the company.  Family-run businesses like Craven Design and Print are the heart blood of our market towns; the grant the company has received has made a real difference to the way the company operates.  On behalf of Shropshire Council I wish James and his family every success with the business in the future.”

The Shropshire Business Enterprise Fund grant is a capital grant programme that is available until December 2014.  For more information please contact Shropshire Council’s business enterprise team on 0345 678 9000.

The funding is delivered through the European Regional Development Fund.
