A company from Highley, near Bridgnorth, is looking forward to a bright future after receiving a Business Enterprise Fund grant from Shropshire Council.

Genvolt produces high voltage power supplies which are being used worldwide, and the company is expanding and recruiting as their client base expands.

Managing Director Stuart Morgan said:

“As a growing company, the grant we have received from Shropshire Council has helped us to purchase new testing equipment to enable us to invest in further growth.  It has saved us time and money, and will help the business to continue to grow.”

Steve Charmley, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for business growth, said:

“It is companies like Genvolt that are really putting Shropshire on the map, and it’s great to see a Shropshire company benefitting from a grant from the council.  By investing in our businesses we are not just benefitting the company, but also the local community they recruit from.”

The Business Enterprise Grant is a capital grant programme delivered by Shropshire Council with funding from the European Regional Development Fund.
