Literature on your doorstep in Whitchurch

Whitchurch Library has been chosen as Shropshire’s representative in the “Literature on your Doorstep” project, organised by Writing West Midlands and the West Midlands Readers Network.

Literature on your Doorstep is bringing together your local libraries and six West Midlands publishers to get more copies of regional books onto library shelves, and to bring some of those writers into the library itself to meet the readers. 

For the second event on Tuesday 12 February 2013 at 2pm – 3pm, and to help celebrate National Libraries Day, Literature on Your Doorstep and Whitchurch Library will present a free afternoon poetry event with Simon Fletcher and Win Saha.

Expect poetry that will move and inspire, and some insights into how poetry gets published.  Both poets will read from their work and answer questions.
