Central planning committtee decisions – 10 January 2013

The following planning decisions were made by Shropshire Council’s central planning committee at its meeting on Thursday 10 January 2013 in Shrewsbury.

Land Adjacent Food Enterprise Centre, Vanguard Way, Battlefield Enterprise Park, Shrewsbury – 12/03574/FUL
Erection of a car dealership building to include showroom and workshop, erection of preparation building, formation of car parking and car display areas, new vehicular accesses and associated landscaping.

Decision:  Approved – in accordance with the Officer’s recommendations, with authority delegated to the Area Planning Manager to seek the provision of substantial robust trees along the northern boundary to screen the site.

Mullins Heating Systems, London Road, Shrewsbury – 12/03749/FUL
Re-development of existing A1 retail unit including new pitched roof structure; overcladding; 1.8m high boundary fence and entrance gate; extension to existing parking area.

Decision: approved – in accordance with the Officer’s recommendations, subject to an additional condition requiring the submission of a Green Travel Plan prior to the commencement of the development.

1 Red Barn Lane, Shrewsbury – 12/04261/VAR
Variation of Condition no. 5 attached to planning permission 11/01898/FUL to allow the ancillary annex accommodation to be used as holiday let accommodation.

Decision: approved – in accordance with the Officer’s recommendations and the applicant to be notified of the Fire Authority advice and restrictions on full-time occupation.

200a Whitchurch Road, Shrewsbury – 12/04497/FUL
Change of Use from Class A1 (retail) to Class A5 (hot food take away); installation of mechanical ventilation system.

Decision: approved – in accordance with the Officer’s recommendations.

Oaklands, Laundry Lane, Shrewsbury – 12/04705/OUT
The siting of a single dwelling (in place of Plots 1 and 2 approved under planning ref 11/01592/FUL) to include means of access, siting and landscaping.

Decision: approved – subject to S106 agreement to secure an affordable housing contribution – in accordance with the Officer’s recommendations, subject to the reserved matters including siting and landscaping to be submitted for approval.  The reserved matters application must come back to committee for determination.
