North planning committtee – decisions 8 January 2013

The following planning decisions were made by Shropshire Council’s north planning committee at its meeting on Tuesday 8 January 2013 in Wem.

Land Off Candle Lane, Woore – 12/02686/FUL
Substitution of house types on plots 2 – 8 and 10 (modification to previously approved 11/01113/FUL); erection of one additional dwelling.

Decision: That, subject to: 

  • The recommendation being amended to note that the application was subject to a Deed of Variation of the Section 106 Legal Agreement;  
  • The amendments to Conditions as set out in the schedule of additional letters; and  
  • The Principal Planning Officer clarifying whether the additional dwelling or all of the development would be liable for a charge under the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). 

Planning permission be granted in accordance with the Officer’s recommendation.

The Bungalow, Newtown, Baschurch – 12/03175/ADV
Erect and display two non illuminated fascia signs and one internally illuminated fascia sign.

 

Decision: That, subject to: 

 

  • The amendments to Conditions as set out in the schedule of additional letters; and 
  • An additional Condition to ensure the internally illuminated signage would only be lit during opening hours. 

Planning permission be granted in accordance with the Officer’s recommendation. 

Land Adjacent Norton Farm, Main Road, Norton In Hales – 12/04406/FUL  
Erection of one dwelling (following demolition of existing buildings); alterations to existing vehicular access and landscaping scheme.

Decision: That planning permission be refused in accordance with the Officer’s recommendation.

Admiral Duncan Inn, Newtown, Baschurch – 12/04618/VAR
Variation of Condition 14 attached to planning permission reference NS/08/01386/FUL to reduce the number of affordable units from 4 to 2.

Decision: That, subject to the addition to Condition 13 of the original consent as set out in the schedule of additional letters, planning permission be granted in accordance with the Officer’s recommendation.
