Road update in Bridgnorth area – Tuesday 3 July 2012

A number of roads were closed and some were badly damaged following flash flooding in the Bridgnorth area last week. Here is an update:

• Roughton Village – this road open to traffic and the drainage system will be cleaned and jetted this week.
• Brook Lane Roughton – work still progressing.  Hopefully the road will reopen on Wednesday (4 July).
• B4555 Eardington – work still progressing.  Hopefully the road will reopen on Wednesday (4 July).
• Chyknell Hall Claverley – this road will remain closed for the foreseeable future.  Large amounts of mud and leaves have been washed onto the road and it has also been badly damaged.  This debris will be removed and the road made ‘safe’ as soon as possible.
