The dates for April 2012 and May 2012’s community advice sessions for Bishop’s Castle have now been confirmed as Tuesday 3  April 2012 and Tuesday 8 May 2012.  The events are a way for members of the community to get advice on police, housing and council services all in one location.

The event on 3 April 2012 takes place at Enterprise House between 11am and 12pm, while the event on 8 May will be at Grange Road in Bishop’s Castle, also between 11am and 12pm.

The Bishop’s Castle local policing team will be in attendance to hear about any concerns members of the public have about crime or anti-social behaviour, and representatives from South Shropshire Housing Association will also be on hand to give advice on housing issues and for current tenants to drop in for advice about their property.

Representatives from Shropshire Council’s customer services team will be available to provide information about a host of services including showing you how to apply for or renew concessionary travel passes, which are now coming up for renewal.  Information on your waste collection and recycling services will also be available, and you can report highways problems such as potholes, faulty streetlights or street cleansing issues.

Members of the public are encouraged to drop into Enterprise House at any time between 11am and 12pm on Tuesday 3 March 2012.  Further events are planned throughout the year, and are designed to help people access information from local service providers more easily.
