Closure of Honeysuckle Lane near Cleobury Mortimer for footbridge maintenance

Honeysuckle Lane – between Oreton and Prescott near Cleobury Mortimer – will close from 11 September 2024 for three days while repairs to Honeysuckle Footbridge are carried out (see flag on map).

The work will involve vegetation clearance to the footbridge, minor masonry repairs on the bridge, and painting of the structure.

To carry out the work safely it will be necessary to close Honeysuckle Lane to vehicular traffic between 8am and 4pm each day.

When the road is closed, traffic will be diverted by a signed diversion route.

Access for pedestrians will be unavailable over the footbridge. Access to frontages will be maintained up to the footbridge closure.

The work will be carried out by Shropshire Council’s term maintenance contractor Kier, with supervision being provided by WSP on behalf of Shropshire Council.
