Throughout the day there will interactive activities for all the family, from local emergency services, charities and a range of children’s activities. Visitors can also enjoy a line-up of live music throughout the day, and a number of local food and drink stalls.
Event highlights not to be missed includes tours of the Castle, children’s activities, and free SmartWater tagging of military medals. “We are incredibly excited to welcome all our local members of the service and show them the appreciation they deserve.
“As a holder of the Armed Forces Covenant Gold Award, we owe it to our service people to support them in any way we can. It’s fantastic to know that many other organisations across the county are joining us in the effort to express our gratitude.
“The day will be full of fun and interesting activities for all the family. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone there on Armed Forces Day.”
