John Williams – The Institute of Leadership’s CEO – to speak at Leadership Conference 2024
John Williams, The Institute of Leadership’s CEO, will be sharing what he’s learnt along the way at this year’s Leadership Conference in Shrewsbury.
John Williams is a problem solver and strategist who brings with him experience from a career in international business and leadership development across the UK, Europe, Middle East, Far East and North America.
The Leadership Conference, organised by Shropshire Council’s Shropshire HR, will be held at Theatre Severn in Shrewsbury on Tuesday 16 April 2024.
John’s piece will focus on future readiness, and helping listeners to be ready to adapt to the ever-changing circumstances they face as leaders.
John is a passionate advocate of servant leadership and deeply curious about emergent strategy, predictive analytics, punctuated equilibrium, and other baffling business things. He is fascinated by the prospects for AI and the future of work.
John holds an MBA from the University of Northumbria, and has been guest lecturer in strategy and international business at universities in the UK and Europe for over two decades.
Joining John on the stage will be Michael Heppell. Michael is the international best-selling author of six books, including “How to Be Brilliant”. His books have been translated into 27 languages and include the Sunday Times No 1 Best Seller “Flip It”. His passion is presenting. He has been described as “One of the top three professional speakers in the world”.
Last but by no means least of the inspirational keynote speakers is Joanne Lockwood FPSA FRSA FIEDP. Joanne is the founder and CEO of SEE Change Happen, a diversity, inclusion and belonging practice with a specialism in providing transgender awareness and support to organisations and businesses. Her mantra is smile, engage and educate, and she passionately believes that ‘people are people’ and, no matter who they are, deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.
That’s not all though, the day is packed full of thought-provoking hands-on masterclasses and workshops to inspire, challenge and evolve people’s thinking about the future of leadership, focusing on belief in potential, change and technology.
The event will also feature exhibit stands and interactive demos and wellbeing activities, as a reminder to prioritise mental health and resilience in the workplace.
Gwilym Butler, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for finance, corporate resources and communities, said:-
“We are pleased to offer you the chance to be inspired by some of the most influential people in the business world at the moment – and all for just £99.
“The date of the Leadership Conference is fast approaching. If you haven’t already, please make sure you book your ticket soon.
“We have some truly amazing speakers, sponsors and exhibiters who will help you to hone your leadership skills, as well as inspire, engage and challenge you.
“It’s an event not to be missed.”
The ticket price includes drinks and lunch. Those wanting to come along to the event are encouraged to book their tickets by visiting the Leadership Conference website (https://www.shropshireleadership.co.uk/).
