Spooky Halloween fun at The Darwin shopping centre

Related topics: Economic growth / Partner organisations

Visitors to The Darwin shopping centre in Shrewsbury this Halloween are being invited to embark on a quest to uncover five skeletons that have mysteriously vanished across the Centre’s three floors.

The skeletons have taken refuge in select businesses, and will be waiting for brave souls to track them down.

The Skeleton Search takes place from Saturday 21 to Tuesday 31 October. To join, visitors just need to pick up a search sheet from DVD Megastore on the middle level, then follow the clues and explore The Darwin to locate and identify each skeleton by name.

Young visitors will be rewarded with a sweet treat for their courage, while the grown-ups have a chance to win £50 to spend at one of the selected participating stores within The Darwin.

Meanwhile, on Saturday 28 October The Darwin is offering ‘trick or treat with a twist’ with a Spooky Surprise Boxes activity.

Young visitors simply need to head to the lower level, right outside The Collective, reach into one of the boxes and discover what lies within. They may be greeted by a delightful sweet treat, or have a spine-tingling encounter with a creepy crawly.

There will also be a range of prizes up for grabs, from sweets to gift cards.

Kevin Lockwood, manager of The Darwin, said:

“Gather your friends and family and make your way to The Darwin in Shrewsbury for an unforgettable Halloween experience. Who knows, you might just stumble upon a hidden treasure or two while you’re at it! Get ready for a hair-raising good time at The Darwin this Halloween.”
