Result of the by-election for the Alveley and Claverley electoral division

A by-election was held on Thursday 19 October 2023 to elect a Shropshire Councillor for the Alveley and Claverley division.

The by-election followed the resignation of Councillor Elliott Lynch.

The result of the by-election is:

DAVEY Jonathan (Conservative) – 408 votes
PHILP Ann (Labour) – 55 votes
TAYLOR Colin (Liberal Democrats) – 662 votes

Rejected ballot papers: 2
Turnout: 31.63%

Therefore, Colin Taylor is elected as the new Shropshire Councillor for Alveley and Claverley.
