Have your say: Care at Home survey launched
Shropshire Council have launched a consultation to find out people’s experiences of contracted paid-for care at home. The survey is for people who receive care, people who deliver paid care, and any other people or groups with an interest.
The aim of the consultation is to build a detailed picture of what the paid care provision in Shropshire currently offers, and how it meets the needs of residents. Information from the survey will be used to inform future changes to the service, at the same time as ensuring that the market is sustainable and resilient to future demands and challenges.
Cecilia Motley, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for adult social care, public health and communities, said:-
“The council works with a number of care at home providers to deliver a valuable service for lots of people in our community. This consultation is an opportunity for us to review the service that we provide in line with the needs of people who use it, making sure that we are providing the right support for people to maximise their independence and live healthily in their own homes for as long as possible.”
