There’ll be changes to some recycling and waste collection days in the Shropshire Council area due to the bank holiday on Monday 1 May [2023] and the Coronation bank holiday on Monday 8 May [2023].

Changes start on Saturday 29 April and end on Saturday 13 May.

For the week beginning Monday 1 May collection days will remain the same, with one exception. Collections that would normally be made on Monday 1 May will be made earlier, on Saturday 29 April.

All collections for the week beginning Monday 8 May will be made one day later than normal.

Collection days can be seen on the image below, or by clicking here.

People planning a Coronation party are asked to recycle their cans, glass and plastic in their purple-lidded bin, or recycling box.

Over the bank holiday weekends, Shropshire’s five household recycling centres will remain
open everyday from 9am to 5pm.
