Schools affected by National Education Union strike on 1 February
The National Education Union is to take strike action in England and Wales on Wednesday 1 February 2023.
Most schools in the Shropshire Council area will be open as normal with only a very small number of schools experiencing a full closure.
Schools will have informed parents whether they are fully open or not, and of arrangements for vulnerable learners and children of critical workers, and any remote learning.
In total 131 schools in the Shropshire Council area have informed us of their position in relation to the strike,
Of these 131 schools:
95 will be fully open
- 84 are primary schools
- 7 are secondary schools
- 4 are special schools/pupil referral units
30 will be partially open
- 12 are secondary schools
- 18 are primary schools
6 will be closed (all of these are primary schools)
