Habberley Bridge will be closed to traffic from 31 October to 3 November, between 9.30am and 4pm, for repair work.

The bridge carries a C-road (Broomhill Lane Junction to Habberley Hall Junction) over Habberley Brook.

The work will involve edge of carriageway repairs, underpinning work to the upstream and downstream headwalls, drainage repairs and the replacement of the upstream parapet.

To carry out the proposed work safely it will be necessary to close the bridge to vehicular traffic.

When the bridge is closed, traffic will be diverted via local roads by a signed diversion route.

Access over the bridge for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will remain available throughout the work.

Inevitably there will be some disruption during these works, and people are thanked for their understanding.

The work will be carried out by Shropshire Council’s term maintenance contractor Kier, with supervision being provided by WSP on behalf of Shropshire Council.
