Beatrice Street and Leg Street in Oswestry to be resurfaced
Beatrice Street and Leg Street in Oswestry are to be resurfaced from 8 to 16 September, with work being carried out under overnight (8pm to 6am) road closures.
During these times the road will be closed to through traffic, with signed diversions in place.
During the works, access to businesses and properties will be maintained, and pedestrians, cyclists and other non-motorised vehicles will be able to pass through.
However, parking bays on Beatrice Street and Leg Street will be suspended during the work and drivers are asked not to park on the roads, and to find alternative parking locations.
The work is being carried out by Shropshire Council and its partners in the Shropshire Highways Alliance, Kier and WSP, as part of this year’s resurfacing programme.
Every effort will be made to reduce noise and disruption for those nearby.
The dates are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Any changes will be displayed on the yellow advanced warning signs.
Residents and road users are thanked in advance for their patience and understanding while this important work is carried out.
