First Meet the Leader event a huge success

Yesterday (Tuesday 19 October 2021), Shropshire Council’s Leader Lezley Picton held her first Meet the Leader event at the Ludlow Museum and Resource Centre.

Despite the rain, a queue of people soon formed to meet and talk to Lezley about their ideas and the things that matter to them.

Items discussed included transport, climate change, park benches, memorial gardens and much, much more.

Lezley said:

“It was great to see so many faces and hear people’s ideas. I was genuinely humbled to see people taking time out of their busy day to talk to me.

“We’ve gathered so much information which has been carefully noted down and will be actioned as appropriate.

“This is the first of many and more details about where I will be next are coming very soon.”
