Census Day 2021 is this Sunday

Michael Lewis, Shropshire Council’s head of Shropshire Libraries, said:

“It’s vital to provide the support for people who are unsure about how to fill in their Census form, or don’t have the equipment and knowhow to fill it online. Shropshire Libraries are working in partnership with the Good Things Foundation to deliver this support across the county to make sure that nobody is left behind.”

The Census gives us a picture of all the people and households in England and Wales. This helps to plan and fund public services in your area, such as roads, schools and hospitals. By taking part in the Census, you’ll help make sure your community gets the services it needs.

About Census 2021

Everyone benefits from the census. It informs decisions nationally and locally on vital services, and issues like diversity. Ultimately it ensures millions of pounds are invested in emergency services, mental health care, school places, hospital beds, houses, roads, GPs and dentists services based on the information people give. We’ve made it easier for people to complete the census online on any device, with help and paper questionnaires for those that need them.
