Cardington ford footbridge replacement – road closure from Monday 16 November

The unclassified road from Brook House Junction to Folly Bank Crossroads in Cardington will be closed from tomorrow (Monday 16 November 2020) until Tuesday, 1st December, to carry out footbridge replacement works adjacent to the ford.

While the road is closed, traffic will be diverted using local roads by a signed diversion route via Folly Bank and Wilstone.

Access through the works for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists and equestrians will only be available where safe to do so, and access to frontages will be maintained up to the road closure.

The work will be undertaken by the council’s term maintenance contractor Kier, with supervision by the council’s term consultant WSP.
