INCIDENT: London Road in Shrewsbury full closure – update as of Tuesday 29 October 2019 3.15pm

Western Power Distribution (WPD) are currently attending an electrical fault on London Road in Shrewsbury, which has resulted in the road being closed as of this afternoon (Tuesday 29 October 2019). The fault has put several properties in the vicinity of Armoury Gardens junction off supply and as such, an emergency generator has been brought to site to restore supply while the fault is fixed.

The road is closed from Column Roundabout to Emstry Roundabout, with a signed diversion via Wenlock Road.

WPD will be working through the night and plan to have the road reopened by midday tomorrow (Wednesday 30 October 2019).
