Shropshire’s Great Outdoors annual public survey
Shropshire’s Great Outdoors are asking for your feedback about rights of way, parks, play areas and countryside so they can understand what the barriers to participation are.
Resources to deliver the strategy are under increasing pressure and your responses will help to identify key areas for priority in the future.
The results will also help to identify those less valued areas of the service.
You can complete the survey by following this link.
The survey should only take about ten minutes to complete depending on how much detail you give when answering the questions.
Lezley Picton, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for culture and leisure, said:
“Shropshire is one of the most picturesque counties in Britain, steeped in history and culture with a fabulous landscape. Residents and visitors alike enjoy the vast range of activities on offer and the natural beauty available throughout the county
“We would like your feedback through this survey to help us identify key areas to prioritise to ensure we allocate our resources effectively.
“If you could spare ten minutes of your time to complete the survey, both the team at Shropshire Council and I would be extremely grateful.”
Shropshire’s Great Outdoors Strategy 2018-28 sets out the strategic direction for the management and development of publicly accessible greenspace, rights of way and other access in the Shropshire Council area.
The aim of the strategy is to inspire action to improve health, prosperity and happiness by cherishing Shropshire’s great outdoors.
