Drivers advised to plan journeys as M54 emergency repairs take place

Highways England is advising drivers to plan their journeys as emergency carriageway repairs take place on the westbound M54 from tonight.

M54 westbound

The westbound M54 will be closed between junction 2 (Wolverhampton) and junction 3 (Cosford) from 8pm tonight. From 8am tomorrow morning one lane will re-open between the junctions before the westbound carriageway closes again from 8pm until 8am Sunday. It is expected the carriageway will completely re-open on Sunday morning when repairs are completed.

Diversions

A signed diversion via the A449, A5 and A41 will be in place during the overnight closures.
