Proms come to Ellesmere on Saturday 14 October 2017

Shrewsbury Light Orchestra and Ellesmere College Choral Society are coming together for a charity concert which will celebrate the best of the proms.

The last night of the proms concert will take place at St. Mary’s Church, Ellesmere on Saturday 14 October at 7.30pm. The charity event is being organised to raise funds for Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin and St. Mary’s Church.

Heather Osborne, Chief Executive of Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin, said:

‘The last night of the proms concert is always extremely well supported. I would advise anyone who wants to attend to purchase your tickets early to avoid disappointment. It really is a fantastic evening bringing together Shrewsbury Light Orchestra and Ellesmere College Choral Society, directed by Tony Coupe.

“The concert is being organised by St Mary’s Church fundraising group and our North Shropshire Supporters Group. The North Shropshire Supporters Group are a dedicated team of volunteers, raising funds to support older people in north Shropshire.”
