Burford-area residents encouraged to recycle their extra water bottles
Residents in the Burford area who were supplied with bottled water by Severn Trent last weekend are being encouraged to recycle the empty bottles.
Collection crews working for Veolia, Shropshire Council’s waste contractor, will take any extra water bottles left out for collection, and the bottles don’t need to be placed in recycling boxes.
All we ask is that the bottles are presented with the other recycling on the scheduled collection day, and as securely as possible to prevent any risk of them blowing or rolling away.
Last weekend Severn Trent asked customers in the Tenbury Wells area who live in either the WR15 8 postcode or the SY8 4AU postcode to not drink their water supply while they investigated a potential issue. Severn Trent provided free bottled water for those people in the affected areas.
