Shropshire Council is encouraging local people to come along to their next Bridgnorth, Worfield, Claverley, Alveley and Brown Clee Local Joint Committee (LJC) meeting to talk about the issues that matter to them.

The meeting will take place on Thursday 12 October 2017 at 7pm at Castle Hall, West Castle Street, Bridgnorth, WV16 4AF.

West Mercia Police’s local policing team and Shropshire Fire and Rescue will be present to provide an update on local policing and community safety issues.

West Mercia Police Crime Commissioner John Campion will be delivering a presentation on crime and community safety.

Councillor Christian Lea, Chair of the LJC, said:

“This meeting will give local residents the opportunity to let the Police and Crime Commissioner know what local policing issues concern them, such as crime and anti-social behaviour. I very much look forward to welcoming people along to what should be an interesting meeting, with plenty of lively discussion.”

John Campion said:-

“Our communities deserve to be safe and feel safe. An important part of my role is listening to the wants and needs of the people who live and work in West Mercia, so I can act upon them, ensuring they get the efficient and effective police service they deserve. I look forward to attending this meeting, and meeting community members.”

This is an open public meeting so everyone is more than welcome to attend.
