Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery, and Visitor Information Centre, closure week

Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery, and its Visitor Information Centre, will be closed for one week for essential building works, from Monday 16 January 2017 to Monday 23 January 2017.  Staff will be onsite to answer online and telephone enquiries, but the galleries and information centre will be closed.

The museum and art gallery’s tenants, stop. Café, will also be closed for one week for essential works.  However, it is hoped that stop. Café will be able to reopen on Saturday 21 January 2017.

The tenants Balfours Estate Agents and Property Professionals will not be affected by the works and will remain open.

The Museum & Art Gallery, and its Visitor Information Centre, will reopen on Tuesday 24 January 2017.  Its next major special exhibition will be “Rhyme Around the World”, a touring exhibition with a focus on the Under 5s from Seven Stories, The National Centre for Children’s Books.  This runs from 18 February to 7 May 2017.
