New Walking for Health group in Higher Heath

Related topics: Leisure, culture and heritage

Some enthusiastic and friendly people in Higher Heath have decided to get the whole village healthier by setting up a new Walking for Health group.

The group meet at 10am each Tuesday morning outside the Village Hall, and walk for about an hour at an easy pace around the village.

If you are looking to get a bit fitter and meet new friends this could be just what you are looking for.

To show you the benefits of walking and why you should give it a go, the group are giving a talk on Thursday 22 September 2016 at 7pm at Higher Heath Village Hall. Refreshments will be available. This will tell you everything you need to know about why walking is good for you, and hopefully motivate you to come along and meet the other walkers in your locality.

If you require more information please contact Liz Evans, Shropshire Council’s walking co-ordinator for north Shropshire, on 01743 255068 or email liz.evans@shropshire.gov.uk.
