Decisions made by South planning committee on 24 May 2016
The following decisions were made by Shropshire Council’s South planning committee at its meeting at Shirehall, Shrewsbury on Tuesday 24 May 2016.
- Barn to the north of Woodfield House, St Marys Lane, Much Wenlock (16/00642/FUL) Conversion of redundant barn to one dwelling with extension and relocated access. Decision: That consideration of the application be deferred to a future meeting to enable further discussion with the developer on the need for and potential harm to the historic fabric that could result from the proposed raising of the roof.
- Land north east of Stone Drive, Shifnal (16/00645/REM) Reserved matters application (pursuant to permission 14/00062/OUT) for the layout and structural landscaping of the estate loop road and public open space (including a town park), including associated infrastructure; pedestrian and cycleway routes; strategic drainage systems (including balancing ponds, swales and pumping station) and an electricity sub-station and the demolition of a dwelling (18 Silvermere Park). Decision: That Planning Permission be granted, subject to the conditions set out in Appendix 1.
- Land north east of Stone Drive, Shifnal (16/00646/REM) Details of all reserved matters pursuant to permission 14/00062/OUT for 75 dwellings with associated estate roads, car parking, on-plot landscaping and site drainage. Decision: That Planning Permission be granted, subject to the conditions set out in Appendix 1.
- Proposed residential development at Old Mill Close, Worthen, SY5 9JT (16/00952/VAR) Variation of Condition 2 (approved plans and drawings) of 15/04032/REM erection of 6 no. dwellings. Decision: That consideration of the application be deferred to a future meeting of the South Planning Committee with a request to the developer to come back with further amendments in relation to elements of the application that members expressed concern about.
