Closure of A458 at Cross Houses

The A458 will be closed at Cross Houses from 9.30am tomorrow (Friday 15 April 2016) while BT carries out repair work on a failed manhole near to The Hollies Junction.

The extent of the damage to the manhole, and the estimated duration of the closure, will be confirmed tomorrow (Friday 15 April).

Whilst the road is closed a diversion route will be in place.

The diversion route will be from Much Wenlock via the A4169, A5223, M54, A5 to Emstrey Island and Thieves Lane, and vice versa.

A local diversion for light vehicles will be in place from Cressage via the B4380 through Wroxeter, Atcham to Emstrey and vice versa.

The road will be blocked in Cross Houses between the Hollies Junction and The Chestnuts while work is carried out.

All businesses will be open as usual and access maintained at all times.
