Dinham Bridge, Ludlow inspection 8 March 2016 is postponed

Due to the recent accident damage caused to Ludford Bridge in Ludlow, and the subsequent emergency road closure, the planned inspection of Dinham Bridge on Tuesday 8 March 2016 has been postponed.

The inspection will be re-programmed once the Ludford Bridge repairs are complete.

Simon Jones, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for highways and transportation, said:-

“With the lorry damage to Ludford Bridge it has been decided to defer the programmed inspection of Dinham Bridge. With both bridges closed it was felt the diversion routes for local light traffic would be potentially problematic. The Dinham Bridge inspection will be reprogrammed as soon as possible following the repair to Ludford Bridge.  This delay will not impact on the future maintenance of Dinham Bridge.”
