Armed Forces Covenant re-branded
The Armed Forces Covenant has redeveloped its brand to enable it to communicate more effectively with the public, but primarily, the Armed Forces community.
Prior to its revamp, the Armed Forces Covenant was recognisable via two separate logos which represented different elements of the Covenant:
- Community Covenant
- Corporate Covenant
It is hoped that adopting a single brand identity will allow the Armed Forces Covenant to better engage with the Armed Forces community, with the aim of providing more effective support.
Tim Barker, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member responsible for the Armed Forces Covenant, said:
“The move to develop a single brand identity for the Armed Forces Covenant elements will enable us to better engage with Shropshire’s Armed Forces communities.
“The brand will be much more recognisable and will allow us to make Shropshire’s serving personnel – both regular and reserve, spouses and veterans more aware of the support available and assist more people and families in the transition from military to civilian life.”
The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise from the nation to those who serve or who have served, and their families, which says we will do all we can to ensure they are treated fairly and are not disadvantaged in their day-to-day lives. The Armed Forces Covenant relies on the people, communities, and businesses of the UK to actively support it in order to make a difference.
To those who proudly protect our nation, who do so with honour, courage, and commitment, the Armed Forces Covenant is the nation’s commitment to you. It is a pledge that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or who have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve with their lives.
