Shrewsbury’s town centre businesses will be open as normal for late-night shopping tonight (Wednesday 2 December 2015) despite this week’s flooding, and people are being encouraged to visit the town.

Frankwell and St Julian’s Friars car parks are closed due to flood levels, but free parking will be available from 4pm this afternoon in the following Shropshire Council-owned car parks.

  • Abbey Foregate long-stay car park
  • Bridge Street short-stay car park
  • St Austin’s Street short-stay car park
  • The Tannery short-stay car park

Raven Meadows multi-storey will be open until 9.30pm (normal charges apply).

The last Park & Ride buses will leave the Park & Ride car parks at 6.20pm, and leave the town centre at 6.30pm.
