Join in Christmas celebrations at Helena Lane in Ludlow
Shropshire Council is inviting you to come along to the festive events being held at Helena Lane in Ludlow this Christmas.
The day care centre is hosting a range of events in December 2015 for the local community:
- ‘Heads-up with Hands Together’ Networking Event – from 7pm to 9pm on Monday 7 December
‘Heads-up with Hands Together’ is a networking event organised by Hands Together, a new volunteering organisation in Ludlow. The evening is invitation only and has been arranged to enable support organisations, caring agency representatives, local businesses and local community to come together to exchange ideas. The evening begins at 7pm and will be introduced by David Stacey, the High Sheriff of Shropshire. It will be a fun way of meeting new people and discussing local social issues over light refreshments, wine and soft drinks.
- “Festive Songs for You”- from 12.15pm to 2.30pm – on Tuesday 8 December
“Festive Songs for You” with Sally Tonge, is open to the public.
In association with the Good Companions Club and Creative Inspiration Shropshire; this year Helena Lane is hosting a Christmas Special Songs for You. The day will start with a pre- booked lunch at 12:15pm, followed by a music sing-a-long at 1pm to 2.30pm with some festive input. Contact David Key on 01743 255547 for lunch bookings, or you can just turn up for the singing.
- Christmas Fair- from 11.30am to 2pm – on Tuesday 22 December
Helena Lane’s Seasonal Fair is free to attend to the local community and anyone who is interested in celebrating the Christmas holidays and joining in with the fun with the members of Helena Lane.
There are lots of exciting activities planned for everyone to enjoy:
- Visit Santa in his magical Grotto from 11.30am to 1pm (£2 with Pressent)
- Christmas craft stalls
- Take part in the Frozen Theme hunt
- Cake stall
- Christmas Hamper Raffle
- Refreshments available including mince pies and mulled wine
- A Light lunch will be available from the café made by The Chefettes
All proceeds earned from the fair will go towards Daycare Activity Fund.
All the events Helena Lane have to offer this month provide local people an ideal opportunity to take part in numerous activities, enjoy fantastic food and drinks and make friends with others in their community.
