The rangers at Severn Valley Country Park near Alveley will be welcoming Georgia Jacobs to lead a Christmas Craft Workshop on Saturday 28 November 2015.

Georgia has a passion for textile art and leads various craft workshops at different venues within the Abberley and Malvern Hills Geopark.

During the workshop, there will be the opportunity for visitors to take home a small Christmas stocking and/or a reindeer tote bag personalised with their name. In addition, visitors can make an organza gift bag from two sheets of organza with decorative threads sewn between.

There will be plenty of chance to use festive stencils to decorate Christmas cards or material pieces which can be added to the stockings and tote bags to make them unique.

Susie Comaish, visitor centre manager, said:

“‘We’re looking forward to getting crafty this Christmas The workshop will allow visitors to take home something special to help celebrate the holiday season.”

You can drop in anytime between 12pm and 3pm (with the session ending at 4pm). Please call 01746 781192 by Wednesday 25 November 2015 if you would like the Christmas stocking or reindeer tote bag to be personalised. There will be limited time to embroider names during the workshop, so advance notice would be very much appreciated.

Each item will be £2 each. Please call 01746 781192 for more details.
