The next Whitchurch and Prees Local Joint Committee (LJC) is taking place on Wednesday 7 October 2015 at Tilstock Bradbury Village Hall, SY13 3JL. Doors open at 6.30pm and the meeting starts at 7pm.

There are three main agenda items:

  • Tilstock Primary School – update from governors and the headteacher
  • Update on doctors surgeries in Whitchurch – brief update from Paul Tulley, Clinical Commissioning Group
  • Public transport update from representatives of Shropshire Council’s transport commissioning, Arriva Midlands (bus services), and Arriva Trains Wales.

Councillor Paul Wynn, chair of the LJC, said:-

“I encourage everyone to come along to this public meeting. We have some topical speakers on the agenda and will be hearing updates from Shropshire CCG on the merger and move of the doctors surgeries in Whitchurch, as well as a report from the headteacher and governors of Tilstock Primary School. We are also pleased to have Shropshire Council’s transport commissioner and representatives from Arriva Trains Wales and Arriva Midlands (bus services) to answer your questions on the local public transport service.”

Representatives from the local policing team and Shropshire Fire & Rescue will also be present to report on community safety issues and to answer your questions.

There will also be a public ‘question time’ in the second half of the meeting: this is the time to ask the LJC questions about your local community, and suggest topics for future meetings or any other issues.
