Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery, and Lanyon Bowdler, launch The Culture Club
Owners of businesses in Shrewsbury and Shropshire who are interested in heritage are invited to join a new free network The Culture Club – business networking with a difference.
The first meeting is on Thursday 24 September 2015 at 8am at Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery. The guest speaker will be Trevor Osborne of The Osborne Group, who will be revealing his plans for the former Shrewsbury prison building, which he now owns.
The initiative is part of Lanyon Bowdler Solicitors’ support for Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery as its first corporate sponsor.
Lanyon Bowdler’s senior partner Andrew Evans commented:
“Shrewsbury is very lucky to have this wonderful Museum & Art Gallery. We have already used the venue for an exclusive drinks reception for local contacts and clients, many of whom had yet to experience what was inside the museum. Feedback after this event was superb, with many saying they would return with their families and friends. We believe it offers the perfect space to host The Culture Club.”
Tina Woodward, Shropshire Council’s deputy Cabinet member responsible for museums, said:
“The Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery is growing in popularity for all kinds of events. We know that there is tremendous support from the business community out there and, together with our corporate sponsors Lanyon Bowdler, we want to offer as many opportunities as possible for businesses to come together and learn about the contribution of heritage to the economy.”
