Severn Valley Country Park welcoming back Rain or Shine Theatre Company

Shropshire Council rangers at Severn Valley Country Park near Alveley are readying themselves for a mysterious and magical evening of theatrical entertainment on Friday 14 August 2015.

The Rain or Shine Theatre Company is returning to the park as part of their national tour with William Shakespeare’s masterpiece, “The Tempest”.

“The Tempest” is a tale that encompasses comic capers, romantic encounters, villainous plots and a host of apparitions and spirits, where a fantastic web of intrigue is woven.

The performance starts at 7.30pm. Visitors are invited to start arriving at the park from 6.30pm. Visitors are asked to bring a picnic (and their own seating or picnic rug) so they can enjoy the performance in the beautiful surroundings of the Severn Valley. The teashop in the visitor centre will also be open for refreshments.

Susie Comaish, visitor centre manager, said:

‘The Rain or Shine Theatre Company’s production of The Tempest has been wowing audiences across the country all summer. It is set to be another evening of five star entertainment from Rain or Shine.”

Tickets are available to buy now from the visitor centre or by calling 01746 781192. Tickets can also be bought online from www.rainorshine.co.uk or they can be purchased on the night. Adults £13, concessions £11, children £6.

The performace is suitable for ages 6 and upwards.
