Whitchurch’s births, deaths and marriages registration service will be relocated over the next few days from its current home at The Talbot Centre, Shakespeare Way, Whitchurch SY13 1LJ, to its new home in Whitchurch Library, which is located within the recently refurbished Whitchurch Civic Centre, High Street, Whitchurch SY13 1AX.

The last registrations were carried out at The Talbot Centre yesterday (Thursday 5 March 2015) and the service will be available to the public from its new premises from Friday 13 March 2015.  The opening hours of the new office will be:

  • Mondays 1.30pm-5pm
  • Tuesdays 9.30am-2pm
  • Fridays 9.30am-1.30pm

Appointments can be made to register a birth, death or give notice of marriage or civil partnership in the usual way, either by visiting shropshire.gov.uk/registrar.nsf or by phoning on 0345 678 9016.

Karen Calder, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member responsible for registration services, said:

“We hope that customers needing the services of the registrars in Whitchurch will find the new facility in Whitchurch’s centrally-located library inside the civic centre more convenient.”
