Bayston Hill residents are encouraged to come along to the next Local Joint Committee meeting at Bayston Hill Methodist Church on Tuesday 30 September 2014 at 7pm.

The meeting will see the launch of the consultation of the Oaklands/Glebefield development brief.  All stakeholders, including landowners Shropshire Council and Diocese of Lichfield, will be available to speak with.  The public will be able to view the draft development brief, a map of the proposed area and paper detailing work to date, and provide feedback on the proposals.

The LJC meeting will also hear from Shropshire Libraries’ area manager on the future direction of Bayston Hill Library, which is tied in with the Oaklands/Glebefield development.  There will also be a short presentation from the council’s waste prevention officer about a recent cardboard collection trial that took place in Bayston Hill.

There will also be an update from the Jubilation Committee, as well as a discussion around the ‘shared counter’ proposal from the Post Office.

Councillor Ted Clarke, Chair of the LJC, said:

“I would encourage local residents to come along to our LJC meeting.  I look forward to hearing your views on the various important local issues being discussed at this meeting.”
