Decisions made at North planning committee on 1 July 2014

The following decisions were made by Shropshire Council’s North planning committee at its meeting at Shirehall, Shrewsbury on Tuesday 1 July 2014.

Land west of Morda Bank, Morda (13/04845/FUL)  Mixed residential development of 65 dwellings; formation of new vehicular access and estate roads; associated infrastructure; landscaping and formation of public open spaces. 

Decision: That planning permission be granted in accordance with the officer’s recommendation and subject to the resolution of outstanding ecology issues in relation to newts in the pond at The Cottams.

Development land east of 163 Wrexham Road, Whitchurch (14/00459/OUT) Outline application (access, layout, scale, landscaping for approval) for mixed residential development; formation of vehicular access and estate roads; associated infrastructure works. 

Decision: That planning permission be granted in accordance with the officer’s recommendation, subject to an amendment to Condition 1, to include scale and also an additional Standard Highways Condition.

Development land east of Shrewsbury Road, Cockshutt (13/04868/OUT)  Outline application for the erection of five dwellings and formation of vehicular access (all matters reserved). 

Decision: That planning permission be granted in accordance with the officer’s recommendation.

Proposed residential development, land west of Stocks Lane, Welshampton (14/01723/OUT)  Outline application for the erection of 2 No dwellings (to include access and layout). 

Decision: That consideration of this application be deferred until further information is obtained on the means and location of waste water disposal to enable the LPA to carry out a Habitats Regulation Appraisal (HRA) of this project, under the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2010 (as amended).

Land adjacent to Oakleigh Farm, Welshampton, Ellesmere, SY12 0PG (14/01721/OUT)  Outline application for the erection of a single detached dwelling to include access, layout and scale. 

Decision: That consideration of this application be deferred until further information is obtained on the means and location of waste water disposal to enable the LPA to carry out a Habitats Regulation Appraisal (HRA) of this project, under the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2010 (as amended).

Avalon, Hollinwood, Whixall, Whitchurch (14/00922/VAR)  Variation of condition no.2 attached to 13/00778/VAR to allow for reduction in height of infill boarding to the first floor doors. 

Decision: That planning permission be granted in accordance with the officer’s recommendation.
