The StrettonDale Local Joint Committee (LJC) has an interesting meeting planned for Thursday 22 May 2014 at 7 pm at Longnor Village Hall.

The main item will be a discussion around how the LJC operates in the future.

Representatives from Shropshire Council will be present to give an update on highways issues, and a public assets and services review which is currently being undertaken in Church Stretton.

Residents are also encouraged to come along and raise any flooding concerns for a standing item on the agenda, and there will be an update on the Town Plan for Church Stretton.

Councillor Tim Barker, chairman of the LJC, said:

There are many changes taking place currently within the council, and the LJC will also be changing.  Please come along and join in the discussion to help us shape our future priorities and activity.”

The meeting will also include an update from the Church Stretton local policing team regarding local crime and safety, and reports on news and events from the parishes that form the LJC.

Representatives from the Local Policing Team will be available from 6.30pm if you wish to discuss any matters on a one-to-one basis.

Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting and to take part in the discussions.
