River levels are high in Shropshire following recent heavy rain, and the council is working closely with the Environment Agency and other partners to keep the county moving as much as possible.

Motorists are advised to take care and allow themselves extra time to complete their journeys.

People are also being warned to keep out of floodwater, whether on foot or in a vehicle, as the water is often deeper than it looks and can contain any number of hazards.
