Digital photography for beginners

A three-week digital photography course for beginners will be taking place at Llanymynech Village Hall near Oswestry, starting on Tuesday 21 January at 10am.

The course is aimed at learners who have some basic computer knowledge but would like to learn how to use their camera.  The sessions will include how to transfer photos, as well as making basic alterations to images.

Mark Vickers, one of the IT volunteers, said:

“Anyone who has been given a digital camera for Christmas but isn’t quite sure how to use it will find this course very helpful. You can learn how to improve your pictures as well as saving them so they can be found again!”

Anyone is welcome to attend, and support is available to those who don’t feel confident with technology.  Equipment is available, but learners can bring their own laptop and camera if they have them.

There will be a charge of £4 per session or £10 for the three weeks, payable on the day. It is likely to be popular so you are advised book your place in advance.

Sessions are suitable for adults of any age. To book, or for more information, contact Flavia Humphreys on 01743 252571. Alternatively email Broadplaces@shropshire.gov.uk
