Central planning committee decisions – 9 January 2014

The following planning decisions were made by Shropshire Council’s Central planning committee at its meeting on Thursday 9 January 2014 in Shrewsbury.

Land east of Cound Brook, Green Farm Lane, Condover (13/03519/FUL)

Construction and operation of a solar photovoltaic park including provision of site access, fencing, CCTV, invertors and sub-station. 

Decision:  

That planning permission be granted as per the officer’s recommendation, subject to: 

  • A legal agreement (Unilateral Undertaking) as set out in the report
  • An additional condition (10b) as detailed in the report
  • The Special Projects and Minerals Manager be granted delegated authority in respect of an additional condition to determine and control the intensity of grazing, and to request further details from the applicant in respect of the planting mix.

 

Land between Mousecroft Lane and Longden Road, Shrewsbury (13/03920/OUT)

Outline application (access for approval) for mixed residential development; formation of new vehicular access; amenity space and associated works. 

Decision:  That this application be deferred, to enable further negotiations to be undertaken with the applicant with regard to the number of dwellings at the site, provision of recreation and leisure facilities, and the potential for highway improvement work.

Garages off Bell Lane, Shrewsbury (13/04041/FUL)

Erection of four, two bed semi detached dwellings.

Decision: 

That planning permission be granted as per the officer’s recommendation, subject to:

  • A Section 106 Agreement to secure an affordable housing contribution
  • Authority being delegated to the Area Planning Manager to discuss with the applicant the possibility of extending the boundary walls.

 

The White House, Pecknall Lane, Halfway House, Shrewsbury (13/04461/FUL)

Erection of two storey extension following demolition of conservatory. 

Decision:  That planning permission be granted, as per the officer’s recommendation.
