South planning committee decisions – 8 October 2013
The following planning decisions were made by Shropshire Council’s South planning committee at its meeting on Tuesday 8 October 2013 in Bridgnorth.
Skelton Bank Farm, Clun, Craven Arms, Shropshire, SY7 8NH (12/05050/OUT)
Outline application for the erection of a dwelling and tourism business.
Decision: That planning permission be refused in accordance with the officer’s recommendation.
Land off Birchmeadow Road, Broseley, Shropshire, TF12 5LP (13/01141/OUT)
Outline application for the erection of 3 No. 3 bedroom dwellings (to include scale).
Decision: That, subject to a Section 106 Agreement in respect of an affordable housing contribution, and as per the amended and additional conditions as set out in the Schedule of Additional Letters, planning permission be granted in accordance with the officer’s recommendation.
Land on the east side of Foldgate Lane, Ludlow, Shropshire (13/01449/OUT)
Outline application for the erection of 1No building for a combined use as a veterinary surgery and A1 retail and 1No building for a combined A3/A5 use to include access and layout.
Decision: That, subject to the amended condition and deletion of Condition No. 4 as set out in the Schedule of Additional Letters, planning permission be granted in accordance with the officer’s recommendation.
Land South and South East Of Church Road Jackfield Shropshire (13/03696/FUL)
Stabilisation of 350m length of hillside/river bank to the southside; realignment and improvements to roadways, footpaths/cycleways and accesses; creation of car parking; demolition of existing wall; clearing of trees/vegetation; re-grading of land including landscaping works; remedial works to mining voids/mineshafts.
Decision:
(i) That, in accordance with Section 101(1) of the Local Government Act 1972, delegated authority to determine the cross-boundary planning application ref. 13/03696/FUL relating to the Jackfield stabilisation scheme be granted to Telford & Wrekin Council.
(ii) That Telford & Wrekin Council be requested to have full regard to the consultation responses, representations and recommendations set out in this report in reaching its decision on application ref. 13/03696/FUL.
(iii) That Telford & Wrekin Council be requested to impose the 10 additional conditions as suggested by Broseley Town Council and detailed in the Schedule of Additional Letters.
(iv) That officers of Shropshire Council and Telford & Wrekin Council further investigate the feasibility of providing a permanent footway on the eastern side of Calcutts Road between the entrance to The Woodlands estate and the bus stop to the north, upon completion of the stabilisation works.
