If you have concerns over crime and community safety, then why not come to the next Ludlow and Clee Area Local Joint Committee (LJC).
The next meeting is Thursday 17 October 2013 at Ludlow Assembly Rooms starting at 7pm.
Bill Longmore, Police & Crime Commissioner, and his deputy Barrie Sheldon will give an overview of their role and responsibilities and then answer questions, and there will be an opportunity to meet the new neighbourhood police officer for Ludlow.
Shropshire Councillor Richard Huffer, chair of the LJC, said:
“Everyone has concerns about the future of the police and how that will affect us locally, so I urge people to come and ask Bill Longmore questions.”
Ludlow and Clee Area LJC holds funding to benefit local community projects, and at this meeting the following applications will be considered:
- Caynham Parish Council – purchase of a defibrillator
- All Saints Church, Richards Castle – war memorial clock
- Ludlow Car Club – publicity
- Foyer Cycling Club – equipment
- Ludlow Castle Bowling and Tennis Club – access improvements
- Gallows Bank Millennium Green Trust – access improvements
- Clee Hill Wildlife Group – purchase of equipment for surveys
- Arts Alive and Shropshire Libraries – community art events
